Conair for your Hair!

You could say I am a pretty frugal person in general, I use coupons, I love a good sale but I also like what a like and when I am purchasing a new beauty product, sexy wins everytime! Yeah, the plain black blow dryer might work just fine, even just as well as the fancy one but it’s so BORING! A girl needs a little sparkle and sass in her life and I love the way Conair breaks out the bling for their hair appliances!

Check out this little cutie! I adore the bright blue!

Conair You Reel 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ceramic 2-in-1 Styler

Clean up your act, and reel it in with the new Conair You Reel 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ceramic 2-in-1 Styler! This sleek blue dryer has a cord that zips into the handle at the press of a button avoiding any tangled cords!

The dryer utilizes Tourmaline Ceramic Technology which helps fight frizz, and puts less stress and heat damage on your hair, while bringing out natural shine and promoting healthy locks with natural ionic output. The ionic technology leaves hair with up to 75% less frizz*, while the high torque motor allows for fast drying.

It’s the perfect dryer for traveling, since it has dual voltage and a folding handle for easy storage. It also uses 30% less energy when used on the low setting. Attach the diffuser for added volume without frizz, and the concentrator allows for spot-on styling. The powerful high torque motor allows for fast drying and has 3 heat and 2 speed settings with the cool shot button that sets your hairstyle with blasts of cold air.

The Conair You Reel 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ceramic 2-in-1 Styler is available nationwide at mass market and drug store retailers, as well as at http://www.conair.com/ for an average price of $34.99.

*When compared to hair dryers with natural ion generation.

My favourite feature is the retractable cord, it neatly tucks away under our sink when not in use. I have thin hair and I found, like with most blowdryers, that the settings were a little frustrating. The low seems to be too soft and takes forever to dry, while the high is so strong I feel like I have my head stuck out of the window of a moving car! lol It ends up all messy when I am done, but a quick brush and glide over with a flat iron does the trick. Plus it’s just pretty to look at! 😉

Conair also has fun with their brushes! The Conair Impressions Cushion Brush has a funky floral design on the handle and back.

Make a lasting impression with the newest patterns of the Conair Impressions Cushion Brush! This brush is ideal for everyday brushing of all hair lengths and is designed to gently detangle wet or dry hair.   The flexible cushion base allows for stress-free brushing, and the ball-tipped bristles will not snag or pull hair.

The Conair Impressions Cushion Brush is available nationwide at mass market and drug store retailers for an average retail price of $7.99.

I actually found that while it was cute, it kind of hurt my head when brushing. If you like  stiffer style of brush this one is for you, but I prefer a softer touch.

  1. These look great! Always in need of new hair styling tools

  2. Love that the hair dryer has a retractable cord, help keep things organized and not so messy in the bathroom!

  3. Oh man! I love the look of the hair dryer. Retractable cord? Genius! As for the settings, I hear ya. I have thin hair too, and I find it can be such a pain to find one that has the settings perfect. I have an older style conair, that has 3 heat settings along with the air settings, so I choose medium heat and low air and it works great.

Thin hair and sensitive scalp usually mean I need a softer brush too. I bet they make it in different softness levels, you just got a tougher one. i have a friend who has really think hair (we once sewed something together with a strand of her hair to prove we could). She likes very stiff bristles to get through all that hair.

  4. I love the retractable cord! Cords are the most annoying part of hair styling products. They never fit when they need to be stored.

  5. My husband destroyed my hairdryer a few years ago – it still works, it’s just…misshapen. He has fur lined boots and took the hairdryer after the fur got wet one winter and stuck it into his shoes and turned it on to dry them out. Trouble is he then went to take a shower and left it in there. The heat that built up MELTED the hairdryer.

So I’ve been thinking I should get a new one but no excuse to get one because it still works – it’s so nice to have something blinged out and PROPER though, I must say I’m tempted – especially since there’s a dual plug that RETRACTS!

  6. Yep, the retractable cord is a must for me, too! I hate having mess in the bathroom:) I also like the new dryers being easier on our hair!

  7. Ooh la la! I ADORE the dryer; that blue is hawt! And the brush it too cute! I do like a firmer brush so this would likely be perfect for me.

  8. Dolores Brister says

I have a MUCH older Conair blow dryer and have to say that I really like it, but admit that I’m more frugal than sexy. 😉 Good luck with that retractable cord. Mine only worked about a month. 🙁

  9. We are looking for a new one, so I might have to look into it. I like the retractable cord.
