almond Bark

I started making this Christmas treat the first year I got married and I’ve been making it every Christmas ever since. It’s definitely a family favourite and because it takes no time to whip up, I love making it.

The rich dark chocolate combined with the smooth white chocolate and crunchy almonds is a winning combo!

Chocolate Almond Bark

Ingredients

8 Squares Bakers Semi Sweet Chocolate
6 Squares Bakers White Chocolate
1 Cup toasted almonds

Directions

Chop each square of chocolate into approximately 8 pieces
Place chopped semi sweet and chopped white chocolate into two separate bowls
Microwave each bowl for about one minute depending on your microwave. Essentially you want to see one-third of the chocolate still unmelted. You can also opt to use a double broiler method.
Stir chocolate until completely melted and smooth
Stir in a half a cup of almonds into each bowl until coated
Drop spoonfuls of chocolate, alternating white and semisweet onto a waxed paper lined baking sheet
Using the end of a knife, draw the semi sweet chocolate and white chocolate together to create a marbled pattern.
Refrigerate until firm
Break into pieces

  13. When you say 8 squares of chocolate… Is that 8 squares i.e white wrappers which have 2 rectangle pieces therefore total 16 rectangles?

    • yes, the Bakers chocolate comes with 8 squares (with the line down the middle) and I use the whole box. Same with the white chocolate, but that box comes with just 6 squares.
