Meeting PINK with COVERGIRL

I remember the first time I saw Pink as a COVERGIRL in a magazine. I had probably seen hundreds of Easy, Breezy, Beautiful ads in the past and never taken much notice of the fresh faces and megawat smiles, but this! Pink as a COVERGIRL?! This definitely caught my eye!

Pink is strong, fierce, confident, athletic…..she may not be your ‘typical’ COVERGIRL but that’s exactly the point! She’s exactly the type of woman I look at think, ‘man I wish I was more like her!’ She’s a perfect role model for women of many ages, but especially for women like me in their 30’s, raising a family, just like she is.

Truth About Love

Earlier this month, Proctor and Gamble treated a few lovely ladies from the PGmom blogging circle to a fabulous, once in a lifetime, opportunity to see P!NK in concert on her Truth About Love Tour at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and wait for it…..wait for it…..we got to meet P!NK backstage!!!!!! SQUEEEE!!!!!

The night was amazing! For a small town girl like me, I was on quite the adventure! I met up with some super fun gals, Tammy from In R Dream, and Andrea from Mommy Gearest and took my very first GO Train ride to the big city! It was so exciting!

At the ACC we met up with the whole group, grabbed a bite to eat (we were going to need the energy!) and we were quietly escorted behind the curtains and into the hallways outside of the Toronto Maple Leaf changerooms where we waited for what would come next. There was a lot of nervous excitement in the air! One by one, we had the chance to enter a room and meet P!NK in person!

Meeting P!NK

I’ll admit I was really nervous, even though I adore her and was really excited to meet her, my head was kind of blank. What do you say when you meet a superstar like P!NK??

Turns out, it was really fun and she was so great, she made it all very comfortable and easy! As soon as I stepped into the room,  Alecia…err..P!NK, noticed my charm necklace and said “Let’s see ’em, show me your charms!” As fate would have it, we were wearing similar necklaces! I showed her each one of mine and then she showed me each one of hers, for the record, hers were way prettier than mine! I was really impressed to see that two of her charms were engraved with the word ‘Gratitude’. One was in the shape of a rectangle and I told her I had a similar necklace at home that had my boys names on each side, she asked how many boys I had and when I said 3, she laughed and said her husband would love to have 3 boys! I asked her about her daughter Willow, we posed for a quick photo and said goodbye. It was all a bit of a whirlwind!

Rocking the Stage!

When we met P!NK, she was so calm, and lovely, kind and sweet. She was dressed professionally, not entirely what we were expecting from a bit of a bad girl like P!NK, but man, when she hit the stage – she OWNED it! She was every bit of a superstar that I thought she would be, but way WAY more! Her performance blew me away! Her smile was sweet, her abs rock hard and her voice was perfection! Her concert joined the likes of a cirque du soleil performance as she hung and flew and twirled on cords and in spheres! It was so amazing! She kicked off the night with one of my favourite songs “Raise Your Glass” and kept on pouring out song after amazing song. She just never stopped all night long!

A big huge hug of thanks goes out to COVERGIRL, Proctor and Gamble, and the awesome ladies behind Citizen Optimum for girls night out that I will never, ever forget! It was definitely a night to remember!
