Boys are tough on shoes! When the boys were a lot younger, we used to be able to pass down shoes through all three boys, but once they hit about age 3 or 4 all that changed! From playing sports, to climbing trees and dragging their feet on their bikes and plasma cars, these days we are lucky if their shoes make it past the time they grow out of that size, but last year my youngest received a pair of Skechers S Lights and the Hubs and I were totally impressed!
My son was instantly in love with the flashing lights and wore them everywhere! My husband and I loved the stylish design and colours, but most of all, as the months went by the shoes stayed supportive and stood up to all the wear and tear of a little boy! 14 months later, other than a little dirt, the shoes are in perfect condition and win the award for the best kid shoes we’ve owned to date!
Yup! See those dirty clothes? I told ya boys were tough! The boys had just got home from school and like everyday, they had put their clothes through the wringer! With the boys starting soccer for the first time this year, we knew we wanted all the boys to have a sturdy set of footwear to support them on the field. My oldest will need real soccer cleats (which Skechers actually sells too!) but the younger too will be sporting their own sneakers. My oldest plays soccer every day at recess, and even in the hot months he insists on wearing running shoes because it’s pretty hard to run fast and kick a ball in sandals. We found him these pretty cool Super Hot Lights: Street Lights that have an open back and slits on the side to cool off hot feet! It’s the perfect combo to play sports in with the covered toe ready for some good kicking!
If you ask the boys why they love their shoes, they will all tell you “the lights!”. They have owned a few pairs of light up shoes before, but we have never seen shoes light up quite as bright as a pair of Skechers Hot Lights! They wanted to show you for themselves so they stomped away in a little video for you! The pair on the far right are a pair of S lights and light up great, but you will see that the two pair on the left glowing green in red are super super bright!
Oh – I like that you can turn them off. That’s a neat feature!
Oh, and I’d use these for my 6 year old. We usually hand down shoes, but his big brothers have destroyed the shoes that are his size LOL.
