Things to do with kids in Malta

Malta is the perfect destination for a family vacation. With balmy weather, fantastic beaches and a host of attractions, you’ll find plenty to keep you entertained on this island in the Mediterranean.

If you’re planning package holidays with your kids in tow, it’s worth checking out the following child-friendly visitor spots in Malta.

BirdPark

Located in Salina on the north-west coast, BirdPark is the ideal place to spend a relaxing day. It is home to more than 200 species of birds, including flamingos, swans, pelicans, storks and parrots. You can take an educational tour there to find out more about the local flora and fauna, and there’s a cafe if your brood needs to refuel.

Malta National Aquarium

Not far from BirdPark, you’ll find the Malta National Aquarium. One of Malta’s newer attractions, it boasts an array of intriguing creatures, including sharks, sea horses and turtles. The aquarium features 26 tanks and walk-through tunnels for adults and children. There’s also a nautical themed play area outside.
