Frozen Iced Tea to Beat the Heat

Do your kids ever give you those puppy dog eyes when you sit down with an “adult drink”? Look, I totally get it, cocktails look pretty fun and tasty, especially those daiquiris! My boys are absolute suckers for citrus so when they recently walked by me on the deck and saw that I had slices of lemon and lime in my glass they immediately wanted a taste of my Nestlé Iced Tea Sangria. Since this “mommy juice” was for adult lips only, I decided to create their own fun summer treat to cool off with now that the weather is warming up.

Frozen Iced Tea - Mom vs the Boys

The kids loved this one so much that we now keep a tray of frozen iced tea in the freezer just in case we feel like cool treat. With the ice tea cubes already made, this drink takes literally seconds to blend up! Iced tea is a refreshing alternative to pop (soda for my friends south of the border?) and Nestea even has 29% less calories than the bubbly stuff. It also has no artificial sweeteners making it a nice treat to cool off with during the summer season.
