As we get older, our health and wellness needs change. After all, we all know there’s no substitute for good preparation. No matter how old you or your loved ones are, planning now can help you stay prepared for what’s to come.

– Keep active:

Staying active is one of the best things you can do for both your body and mind. I love completing a daily Sudoku and weekly crossword to keep my mind fresh. When it comes to the body, it’s important to be prepared for possible foot pain that keeps you from being active on your feet and eventually slows you down. It’s easy to forget how much shock your feet absorb. Dr. Scholl’s® Pain Relief Orthotics for Plantar Fasciitis can help with the pain from aggravated and inflamed tissue in the foot. With a little preparation, you’ll always be ready to get back on your feet and maintain your active lifestyle.

– Think about eye care now:

The increased time we spend in front of screens for both work and play, not to mention dry indoor air, can really do a number on our eyes and dry them out; moreover, in Canada our eyes are also susceptible to environmental conditions like cold or dry weather. As you age, more and more people get dry eyes due to hormonal changes and medications to name a few. Be it indoor, outdoor or aging reasons, always be prepared when you’re on-the-go and your eyes are feeling dryer than usual with hydraSense® Eye drops, a new line of eye drops that provides long lasting relief of dry eyes. The product contains a clinically proven naturally-sourced lubricant and is preservative free.

– Consider your diet:

Over time, you might find that you and your loved ones’ appetite changes. As we mature, our caloric needs change too, and working with a doctor or dietician can make sure you and your loved ones are getting most of what you need from your diet. Speak to your doctor or dietician to make sure you’re getting the essential macro and micro-nutrients needed for your overall health.

– Thinking big includes your heart:

Thinking about overall health maintenance includes thinking about being prepared for a heart attack. Do yourself and your family a favour by learning the signs, and keeping ASPIRIN® 81mg in your home or bag/purse. If you think you or someone you love is having a heart attack, call 911 and chew 2 ASPIRIN® 81mg, it may help save a life.
Taking a proactive approach to health can help keep your whole family feeling fit for years to come.
