FROZEN inspired Candy Cane Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Gay Lea butter
  • ½ cup icing sugar
  • ¼ Peppermint Extract (optional)
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 Blue Candy Canes, crushed
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and icing sugar together. If using the peppermint, add in now. Slowly add flour and salt mixing well.
  2. Roll out with a dusted rolling pin about ¼ inch think.
  3. Cut with a snowflake shaped cookie cutter.
  4. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet, and sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
  5. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes
  6. Bake at 350F for 8-10 min or until edges are light brown
