So the contest started this week and if you look, the prize for Week 1 is a Bissell Little Green cleaner. Recently I agreed to give this little guy a test drive and yesterday we put it to action!

It was quick and easy to put together out of the box, just one screw to go into the back and the rest just clicked into place. Even though I considered waiting for the Hubster to come and tackle it, I took it on myself and it was together in no time.

Let’s go to work!

The boys and I headed to the bedrooms where we knew there was a few dirty spots on the carpets. The Little Green was actually pretty fun to use and so easy the kids could easily help out! We tried using both attachments including the Turbo Head which actually spins much like an upright deep cleaner does. The dirt spots quickly disappeared, but we were having so much fun we went on a search for me! I decided to work on the stairs. The machine is nice and small and could sit steadily on the stairs without falling. I thought the cord could have been a little longer for use on the stairs but we managed.

I really liked this machine. The upright steam cleaners are useful for when you need to clean your entire carpeted area but for smaller jobs, they can be a pain to drag out and get ready. I found the Little Green to be just as effective and way easier to use. Plus, you can keep this unit ready to go at all times. I would have liked to see a heating mechanism  but this one didn’t come with that ability. So for me personally, I will probably fill it up each time with nice hot water.
