Oooohhhh Boy! are you in for a treat! I get to introduce you all to my favourite decal company ever! PEEL MONKEY!!! First off, I’m proud to tell you that they are a fabulous Canadian company! Yay!
The reason I love Peel Monkey so much is their pure creative genius! These are not your ordinary surface decals, they are complete works of art! Not only are the decals designed by graphic artists but they also allow you some creative expression as well, in the way that you display them. This made me both excited and nervous as I embarked on the Peel Monkey adventure. My own creative expression??? did I have one?? I cheated a little and looked for some inspiration on both the Peel Monkey website and the Peel Monkey Facebook page, which I highly recommend, even if it is just to check out what other people are doing in their homes. So many great ideas on there!
It was a tough choice deciding on a design, did we want to tackle the boy’s bedroom or the guest bedroom we just built in the basement? We went for the guest bedroom since it was all new and bare anyway, it could use some dressing up! We chose the Dandelion from the Plant Life section and picked it in White because I thought it would pop nicely from the medium blue walls. You can also buy it in Black, Blue or Grey.

So far so good, I recommend having a second person help you out on a large delicate graphic like this one, but it was quick and easy to rub on. Now on for the exciting and nervous part, the dandelion fluff! The set comes with 26 extra puffs in a variety of sizes and it’s up to you to create your work of art! I cut each one out and taped them on the wall first so I could play around with a pattern I was happy with. Then one by one, I rubbed them on and revealed our new wall, check it out:
I really like the way the fluff looks like it is just flying right out that little window in the upper right hand corner. I had a lot of fun with this!
