I get really excited when I find a product that I really and truely love, and I’m happy to tell you that the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop is one of them! Since Rubbermaid compares this mop to the Swiffer wet jet right on their website, I think it’s okay if I tell you why I love one over the other here.
I hate products that are one time use only, they fill up landfills and require you to spend more and more money to use the product. With all those disposable pads and solution bottles that you need to run your wet jet, it makes it a very unfriendly product to both the environment and your wallet.
I was thrilled when I had the chance to try out the new Rubbermaid Reveal Mop, and I really did wonder how it would compare to my wetjet.
Hands down I loved the Rubbermaid Reveal the best! Move over wetjet, there’s a new mop in town!!! The Reveal not only wastes less, it’s super easy to use, has a fantastic spray and the mop pad is reusable!!! The mop comes with a clear bottle that you fill up with hot water or your favourite cleaning solution. I love that the bottle is clear so you know when you are getting low, unlike the wetjet that keeps you guessing. It also has a marker line to tell you how much cleaner you need and then you just fill the rest with water. I love that, because I never really know if I am using too much cleaner.
The mop pad is made of microfiber so it works really well, but doesn’t stick to the floor. If you are like me, you replaced those yucky throw away pads for your wetjet and bought a magicblue pad to use. It works great, but it is soooo hard to push around on the floor, it literally clings to the floor and requires some major muscle use to get it around. The Reveal pad easily and effortlessly slides around on the floor and still gives it a good clean. The hard nasty bits that get under the table from messy toddlers may require more effort, but it always does! Just toss the cleaning pad in the washing machine when you are done! It can be washed up to 100 times!Bottom line- I completely recommend the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop to you! if you are a currently using the Swiffer wetjet, ditch it! you’ll thank me later!
