{Beauty Bash} Balmshell Lipgloss Review

I got my first introduction to Balmshell LipGloss when I saw the twin sisters who created the product appear on The Dragon’s Den. Whether they got the deal or not, I knew I wanted to try Balmshell lipgloss out for myself and I finally got to do it!

Was this one of those things in life worth the wait? You bet!
Balmshell is my new favourite Lip Gloss!

Not only is Balmshell super FuN to use (I’ll get to that in a sec) but it is the first lipgloss I’ve ever tried that was not sticky! I happen to have a decent collection of glosses, but all of them are thick and sticky. You  know what I am talking about, when you press your lips together, you can barely pry them apart again. Oh and your hair is always getting stuck in it! lol
Balmshell give you a hint of colour, lots of shine, moisturizes the lips and no super stickiness.
Plus- Balmshell cosmetics are made with the finest ingredients and are paraben free.

FuN Factor!

Balmshell packaging has a little sumthin’ sumthin’ for ya! Remember those nostalgic floating pens you used to see around? the kind with liquid inside that allowed a picture to move from one side to the other when it was tipped? That’s the idea behind the caps to the Balmshell gloss! Each shade is packaged in a unique tube that contains a floating illustration. Each illustration has a cute story line that can relate to every woman  matches with the name of the gloss.  When you are finished with the gloss you can unscrew the illustration and attach it to a complimentary keychain component allowing you to keep the artwork.

Here’s the scene from my favourite- Yummy Mummy

the lady pushing the stroller moves along the scene when you tilt the bottle! Adorable!

Yummy Mummy is a nice shimmery Mocha colour, I also tried out the Ah The Classic which is a sheer raspberry colour and the handle looks like this-

This lady is wearing the classic little black dress and when it’s tipped, silver sparkles fall around her!

Both colours are fantastic, I usually like more colour in my gloss where these are very sheer, but it’s perfect to pair them over your favourite colour of lipstick or wear on their own for a lighter look.
