Was I the only Mama out there not-so-secretly wishing for a day without the kids??
I’m a stay at home mom. I am with my lovely little monkeys 24 hours a day, 7 days a week- Every week.
So the only thing I was really hoping for this Mother’s Day was a break!
I started my day off with snuggles in bed and a couple of Diego or Caillou episodes, whatever the kids were watching. We finally rolled out from under the covers and had a big bacon breakfast, thanks to the Hubster.
I smooched the kiddos goodbye and headed out of the house just after 11am, the babies sleep all afternoon anyway so it really wasn’t a biggie.
My Shopping wasn’t the fun sort, where I lazily browsed the shops, rather a mission around the city. I had a lot of gifts to buy and errands to run. I came home around 4pm totally exhausted but mustered up some energy to swing and play a game of soccer with the boys while Hubster made dinner.
Wine, good eats, brownies- yeah he knows what a Mama wants!
Then I finished off my day with a warm bath.
Mama’s Day 2011 – Success!
(Thanks Hubster!)
