Every man loves a good movie. They may not all agree on which ones are good, but I’ve yet to meet a man who doesn’t love kicking back in front of the boob tube (the bigger the better) to watch a new flick or the latest t.v. sitcom.
With all the t.v. shows wrapping up for the summer, we find ourselves renting more and more movies. We’ve had our eye on Netflix Canada for awhile, so both the Hubster and I were excited for the opportunity to test it out for the next 6 months.
I was really impressed with the range of shows available. Action & Adventure, Comedy, Classics, Children & Family, Anime, Horror, Musical, Romance, Dramas, Sci-Fi, Independent, Thrillers and T.V. Shows.
There really is something for everyone. I also loved that you could create a personalized list for movies you want to see and you can even rate movies you’ve already seen so Netflix knows what type of movies you like and can suggest some to you, the more rating you do the smarter it becomes.
What we’ve been watching on Netflix
My Husbster checked out a T.V. show that we wouldn’t normally be able to watch, Top Gear, and the kids have been really enjoying a whole new range of shows like Veggie Tales, Sonic, and Air Bud. We picked up a new T.V series The Tudors and caught What Happens in Vegas one Saturday Night.
There are so many benefits to watching a T.V. series with Netflix– no commercials, you can pause, stop and rewind the show similar to a PVR, and you can watch as many as you want, as often as you want. You won’t ever miss an episode and you don’t have to wait a week to find out what happens next.
We have tried using Netflix through both the laptop and the PS3 player and haven’t had any problems with either. It’s so easy to use my 5 year old is a wiz at it, and the picture quality is excellent.
