Jessica Ralli is a special education teacher and the founder of Soft clothing. Jessica saw a need in the market for a brand that designed clothing with the needs of all children, including those with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD and Tactile Defensiveness/Sensitivity. Soft was born and kids and moms around the world rejoiced! Gone are the of wrestling with your kids to get dressed and no more whining over itchy tags and fabric- because as the name suggests, Soft is just that. Soft and Comfy.
How is Soft Clothing Different?
- They use 100% of the softest combed cotton (bio-washed and pre-washed for extra soft and smoothness)
- Flat seaming totally seamless construction throuought (for extra comfort)
- Wide collars (for a roomy fit)
- Encased elastic (waistbands that don’t pinch)
- Printed labels throughout — printed with water based ink (for a smooth non-plasticy feel that won’t itch)
- Vegetable dyes, natural enzyme washes, and water based digital prints (to protect against allergies)
We had the opportunity to try out this Blue Horse t-shirt below. For me the horse design wasn’t anything to get excited over, but my son actually loved it.
And was it soft?? You bet it was! It has a nice weight to it too, not super thin like most of my own tees are. (would love to see an adult line..wink,wink) It fits nice and loose and has no tag in the back. this is probably the best feature for us because my son is always asking us to scratch his back and cut out his tags. You can tell that this is definitely a quality tee.
Look what Soft Clothing has in store for you this summer!
Fire-y hot hand tie-dyed tees and relaxed hippie dresses are here for summer! Soft Clothing for All Children is proud to present its Summer 2011 Collection, Fade and Wash.
Inspired by sizzling summers in Brooklyn, each item in this unique collection is a work of art. “The collection radiates influences of summer in the city we love-the hot gleaming sidewalks, the spray from fire hydrant sprinklers, faded old ice cream trucks, and the blazing hot silver roofs of Brooklyn,” describes Soft Clothing Founder/Director, Jessica Ralli. Combining tie-dye, acid wash, stonewashing, and discharge ink printing techniques, the designs allow the style savvy youth set to express their free spirit and inner creativity.
