Looking outside my windows just now, I can see the last hints of yellows and orange play against the skyline, the last signs of fall. Soon the trees will be bare but for a dusting of white snow and back again to the lush green of spring. Living in Canada, I am blessed to see the changing seasons and celebrate the most prominent symbol of all- the tree!
This is the International Year of Forests and with perfect timing comes a new picture book by Barbara Reid titled Picture a Tree.
Picture a Tree
By Barbara Reid
About:
From bare branches tracing the sky to an explosion of colour, a place for adventure or a friend to shelter us from the sun – a tree can be so many things. With lyrical text and her signature Plasticine magic, Barbara Reid captures these majestic beings: in all weather, in every season, growing and changing, interacting with the people and animals around them. Picture a tree – now, look again!
Kids of all ages will love the beautiful pictures and can use their own imaginations to picture a tree!
