You may have seen Dustin’s face popping up in some of your favourite social media sites lately, and no one’s complaining, let’s face, he’s not hard to look at! lol When I mentioned Dustin’s 21 Day Mommy Blogger Weight Loss Challenge to some friends on facebook last week, that’s what I heard- “I keep seeing this guy everywhere!” But it’s no surprise really, Dustin is passionate about helping moms look great, feel better and have enough energy to out play their kids, and where are moms hanging out? social media sites!
I have been trying out Dustin’s set of DVD’s called Buns, Guns, Shoulders & Back. I’ve even got the Hubster trying some of the exercises out with me because they aren’t your typical videos for women which require a lot of bouncing around, these are weight training exercises targeted specifically for the buns, arms, shoulders and back muscles. I really liked that the videos show you a few different routines that work the same group of muscles, because I tend to get bored easily and love variety. They are also really short, only about 8-12 minutes a piece.
I found that some of the exercises to be a little bit hard on my knees since I had an injury with them in the past but for the most part the sets were easy to manage with a light weight (much lighter than the girls were using in the video!).
At first I liked that the women looked like me, real! But it seemed that the ladies in the video were even struggling with the weight they were using so I didn’t feel bad for using an easy light weight to start out.
I really liked that Dustin was real too, no ladies, he doesn’t look like the average man walking the streets (not of my town anyway! lol) but when I had a question about the videos I only had to send Dustin an email and I got an answer right away. When you purchase any product, let alone a fitness video, that almost never happens!
