My oldest son took his first few canskate lessons this year and even participated in a skating carnival, the night of the carnival I brought out our new copy of It’s a Big World, Little Pig, to share with the boys!
Synopsis:
It’s a Big World, Little Pig! follows Poppy as she travels to Paris to compete in the World Games. At first, Poppy is nervous about meeting so many new people in a new place. But, ever courageous and supported by her family (and best friend Emma, too!), Poppy begins to realize that although these animals look different, act different, and are from different places, they are all the same at heart. They all smile in the same language!
Our Thoughts:
We enjoyed the book and all the different animals that Poppy meets along the way. I don’t think it will go down as one of our favourites but it will be a nice addition to our book collection and perfect for winter themes and talks about the Olympics.
About the Author:

This philosophy has contributed to Kristi’s success on and off the ice, and she aspires to instill it in the hearts of children.
Following her figure skating victories at the 1992 Winter Olympics and World Championships, Kristi embarked on a successful professional career that went nonstop for more than a decade.
