Here’s a fun little book with hilarious words that describe the indescribable things kids do and life with kids in general. And as parents, we all know there are hundreds of things are kids do each day that leave us almost speachless. No more. Eric Ruhlalter has given them all names and created The Kid Dictionary.
Here’s a few that happen around here often:
Drinkle (DRINK-kuhl) n: The liquid burst emitted from a straw when a toddler grips his juice box too tightly (every time)
Miscross (mis-CROS) v: To fail to take the precaution of looking both ways until you’re halfway across the street. (why do they always do this?)
Threemageddon (three-muh-GHED-in) n: The supposed hellfire and brimstone that would erupt should an annoyed mother reach the third digit when counting to three to prompt a child to get his act together. (one, two, two and a half…..)
Whyarrhea (WYE-uh-REE-uh) n: An inquisitive toddler’s chain of question rattled off in rapid-fire succession (why? why? ugh!)
Detaste (dee-TAYST) v: To harbour a deep hatred and disgust for a food you have never tried. (my kids every night)
This book is a fun light read that will have you laughing and would make a great addition to any shower gift for both rookie and seasoned mom’s and dad’s a like.
