SKYFALL now on DVD and Blu-ray!

Good news Bond fans, SKYFALL was released onto DVD and Blu-ray this month and I know a lot of you have been out renting it. Conversations over 007 were all over the social media scene this past weekend as we discussed the surprise ending, the lack of cool spy gadgets and whether or not this Bond flick was sexy enough! 

Here’s the Skyfall Synopsis-

In SKYFALL Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past returns to haunt her. With MI6 now compromised from both inside and out, M is left with one ally she can trust: Bond. 007 takes to the shadows – aided only by field agent, Eve (Naomie Harris) – following a trail to the mysterious Silva (Javier Bardem), whose lethal and hidden motives have yet to reveal themselves.

While my husband has seen every Bond movie to date, I haven’t, and I worried that I would find myself a little bit lost within the plot of the latest Bond film. I was happy to find that I could follow along easily enough without all the back story and actually, Skyfall did delve a little deeper into Bonds personal past with this one to reveal information that maybe other movies haven’t. 
For a Bond film, I was a little disappointed, I expected a really sexy movie. You know, classic Bond props like hot cars, sexy Bond girls, gadgets, martinis and the whole bit. Skyfall barely dipped their toes in the water when it came to this, although Daniel Craig was easy on the eyes. The film had a darker, grittier tone than what I remembered from the typical Bond fleet.
Nevertheless, I found the movie entertaining and the ending a bit of a surprise. I won’t spoil it for you, but I will say I wasn’t sad in the least.
