The thing about boys is they don’t want, need or like fancy stuff. Girl love pretty things, sparkly-dress up things and no girl at any age can resist a cute shoe! But boys, boys are a whole other story. Boys are hard on their shoes and when you want to dress them up a little for a restaurant, wedding, or special event, their shoes never match their nice duds! This is one of the many reason I find it handy to have a pair of TOMS around. TOMS can be easily dressed up or down and I don’t have to go out and buy a fancy pair of shoes that the kids will only ever wear once. Their nice canvas, in neutral boy shades are perfect with a pair of jeans or khakis for those times when you want them stylin’!
One for One
TOMS is a company that is founded in giving back. It all started in 2006, when American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in a village in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. Today the company has extended their brand to TOMS eyewear as well, and follow the same model.
TOMS unique styling can be recognized around the world and is synonymous with easy comfort. They are easy to slip on and off, which is great for the kids, and feel like stepping out in your slippers with the protection of shoe. For the kids, these are perfect little indoor shoes for school in the winter months. They are small and lightweight making them great for tiny school cubbies and easy to tuck into backpacks.
Visit TOMS.ca to see their wide selection of shoes for the whole family (including those sparkly girls shoes!) and follow along with them on Twitter @TOMS and Facebook!
I swear I am one of the only ones who have not tried Toms Shoes. I love their initiative about providing shoes to a child and need, and I hear they are super comfy.
Oh those are adorable, I can just imagine how cute my little guy would be running around in a pair of TOMS
Over the past year I have heard a lot of rave reviews about TOMS but have yet to pick a pair up. These sound like the perfect kind of shoe for not only my little guy but the whole family. Not to mention they are trendy to boot.
for sure, great shoe for the whole family! especially little girls, I’ve seen some adorable styles for them!
I love my own Tom’s – especially my wedges! I haven’t tried them for Michael yet though. How is the fit? I tend to buy a half size smaller for myself. Would it be the same for the kids?
I bought one size larger so they can grow into them and use them next year so I’m not exactly sure. They seem about right since they are slightly too large right now
Good to know! Thanks!
I’ve never tried TOMS before but they look great. As you mentioned t hey look like a great pair of shoes for the kids to have as their indoor shoes… easy on and easy off!
yes! and I like easy, I bet teachers do too!
I am with Randa as one of the only existing Canadians yet to buy Toms. I keep meaning to. They looks so so cute and adorable and simple. I like that they give back. That’s my thing. I enjoy spending money with companies and brands that help others. That’s just how I roll as a consumer.
I like the way you roll!
I love the look of Tom’s, but are they supportive enough?
probably not for playing sports but definitely for regular walking activities
