In the months leading up to Christmas, I watch flyers and purchase what non perishables I need are on sale, applying coupons to the sale items whenever possible. It’s a system I’ve been using for years & it works for me, helps spread the cost out a bit!

    We keep the holidays simple. A few small inexpensive gifts under the tree and then we do a family gift that all 6 of us will enjoy. Last year our family gift was an overnight trip to Toronto and tickets to the aquarium. I found the hotel through a discount sight and the aquarium tickets were on sale if you bought them online.
