Foreign Currency? uh oh….
Packing is stressful and, as moms, let’s face it; the packing mostly falls on our shoulders. Getting ready for any family vacation means I have a thousand thoughts and scenarios playing through my mind, from whether or not we have enough clothes packed to where the dog will be staying while we’re gone. Do the boys have their favourite stuffies? Did I grab DVD’s for the van? Should we bring water wings for the rental pool? So. much. to. plan.
It’s no wonder things get forgotten, because stress levels go through the roof as we conjure up dream vacations for our families. But moms, stop. Take a big deep breath. Strip it down to what you absolutely cannot leave the door without and you’ll realize the list is actually very small.
I should really take my own advice here. On our last family weekend away, I fretted around the house checking and rechecking my list. Even on the drive, I kept turning to my husband with questions on what he loaded into the van, until he reminded me that our hotel was directly across the street from a Wal-Mart. If we forgot something, surely we could just pick it up there.
Focus on the things you can’t just go pick up at the nearest retailer first, these are the important items. Passports, prescription medicine, and something that can easily slip the mind- foreign currency.

I love how easy this is!! We always forget to convert and end up having to do it at the resort:/ thanks for sharing!
oh no, you probably aren’t getting the best exchange rate that way
You can do it all online?! That’s awesome! I love our world now lol.
I know, I never have time to get to the bank! I’m always online though!
I didn’t know about this. Thanks for sharing!
This looks like a great convenience, but I’m not travelling out of Canada until our dollar starts to recover.

This is interesting since I do travel to England, Germany, Australia regularly and sometimes Denmark too. I’ve not heard of this before but will certainly look into it now. Thanks for posting.
This is perfect for someone who travels overseas so much, sounds like you’ve seen some really great places!
Oh, that’s a great idea! Will definitely consider this for my trip to Vegas in a few months.

I don’t generally travel much and it’s been years since I needed foreign cash – I wouldn’t even know where to start – I’ve never heard of CIBC Foreign Cash Online before , sounds like a great option. It’s going to come in handy in the next couple months – I’m actually going on a HOLIDAY!!!!!
Woot!!! Where are you off to? I think it’s a great service for people who are new to travel and also seasoned travellers as well!
It sounds like a great service, definitely will be checking it out next time we travel.
This is do handy thand for sharing
CIBC offers some great services!
That is great to know that it is so easy to foreign cash! I didn’t realize that CIBC offered this service!
This is great! I know most places allow you to just use your credit or debit on the spot but than when you look at your statement and the currencies been changed (especially with US dollars against our Canadian right now) it hurts. Much better to switch it than pay, it hurts just a little less.
ouch, that surprise does hurt!
Well this is helpful. As a travel blogger who frequently travels for work too I can totally use this.
Tweeted and crossing my fingers 🙂 Sounds easy!
Good luck!
I love doing everything online. Makes life so much easier. We are not traveling until May, but this will come in handy for sure!
I’m the same, if prefer just to do everything on line
I’ll have to check this out before our trip next month!
Another place I’ve discovered if you want to exchange foreign currency is Calforex. I checked my banks rates and got a lot more at Calforex for my foreign currency.
