This might come as a surprise to some but I have never had an advent calendar and neither have my boys. While we do have a number of fun holiday traditions some of the classics never really took with our family like advents or even gingerbread houses. This year, that’s all going to change and if you are going to introduce the kids to an advent calendar you might as well go big or go home right? Hopefully breaking out the very cool [easyazon_link identifier=”B01F932SDO” locale=”CA” tag=”momvstheboy-20″ localize=”y”]Playmobil NHL Rivalry On The Pond Advent Calendar[/easyazon_link] will make up for all those years not having one!
The Playmobil Advents are a little more expensive but way cooler than getting a piece of stale chocolate each day, besides more sweets is the last thing my boys need over the holidays. This set is perfect for the hockey lover and comes with 63 pieces that when all put together, makes a really fun hockey at the pond scene.
The back of the box shows parents exactly what to expect each day
But the actual calendar is left up to surprise for the kids!
Race across the frozen pond for a shot on goal! The NHL Advent Calendar – Rivalry on the Pond contains twenty-four surprise items for each day leading up to Christmas. Once all the pieces are revealed, set up the players on the ice and let the match begin! Includes backdrop, two hockey figures, Santa referee, two child figures, flags, goal, Stanley Cup, puck bag, reindeer, and tons of other accessories to bring this winter game to life.
I think the boys are really going to love this set and I can’t wait until December for the fun to start! Playmobil carries other fun advent themes as well such as ‘Christmas on the Farm’, ‘Christmas in the Forest’ and more! View them all at Playmobil.ca
What a fabulous Advent calendar. My son always buys Lego ones for his kids (he’s a big Lego fan himself) but this might well be something for my grandchildren who do play hockey.
These are fun for hockey fans for sure
I am certainly going to look for this one and purchase four — (for 4 young boy’s)!

My grandson is a bit young for this but it is a great idea. Hope they continue to make these in the next year or two.
