We had the opportunity to review the summer sets from Playmobil! The boys had a lot of fun putting these sets together and exploring ALL the possibilities of interacting with them!
First up, The Summer Villa!
This family vacation home has EVERYTHING needed for a family getaway. The boys loved all the little details included in the set from crayons, to toothbrushes, to food items there was no end to the possibilities of building their stories!
This set was easy for the boys to put together. There are A LOT of pieces! The pro as noted above is that there is a lot of room for creative play, the only challenge is the possibility of some of the tiny pieces getting lost or getting into the hands of kiddies under 3. We had to be sure the boys played with it away from their 15 month old brother! I would recommend storing this in a dedicated storage box to keep all elements safe as it does not fit assembled in the manufactured box.
The next set was The Family Car!
The boys loved this set! Especially the scooter for the little boy! It was so adorable seeing them pack the cooler to get ready for the family adventures to come! Every detail was included! They loved the option of opening the car from the top and being able to pack the trunk!
I love how everything including the figures can be packed back in the box and stored away for the next playtime adventure!
The final set we reviewed was the Swimming Pool!
The boys were VERY excited about this set so we saved it for last! It did not disappoint. The only challenge was the set up. The little boys needed some help from their big brother who is 10, but even he had to ask for some help with installing a few of the elements. Playmobil does provide a tool but it was still a bit tricky for little hands.
Other than that small hiccup, they really enjoyed this set and even played with it with their cousins at a recent birthday party and it was a hit!
The stand out feature was definitely the shower! Everyone wanted a turn to pump it to release the water on pool bathers!
This set seemed to be the boys’ favorite! They really enjoyed splashing the figures and squirting the octopus! They loved all the tiny details like flippers and floaties.
Overall, the boys had a lot of fun playing with these sets and definitely the interaction between the 3 sets made for some very exciting story development! We would recommend these for children 4 and over! Be aware of the many tiny pieces of these sets if there are younger family members in the house. We were excited for this opportunity from Playmobil! We hope these sets will provide the same hours of creative fun as they did for us!
These are cute sets, my granddaughter would love the swimming pool, because of the water and the working shower!
