You know how they say if the kids are being quiet, you better go check on them because they are up to no good? Well, what about when they are supposed to be quiet, like say, at naptime?
Last week, Big Brother asked me to trace his feet on his magnadoodle. While doing this I noticed his toes were looking a little ‘shiny’. I remembered him watching me paint my toenails last time I did them, but that was weeks ago. I vaguely remember painting one of his with the clear coat and him asking me to take it off. Surely it wasn’t still on there! But what else could it be?
Later on, the Hubby yells into me asking if I painted Big Brother’s toes that day. ‘No, why?’ well, apparently the ‘shiny’ stuff wasn’t only on his toes but all over his feet.
hmmm….now I am thinking and now I remember bringing Little Buddy up for a nap that afternoon and finding Big Brother in our bathroom. He quickly walked back to his room and got back onto his bed. All looked well in the bathroom so I didn’t give him a hard time about it.
After a little Q&A with Big Brother we discover the yup, he ‘painted his toes’, when he was ‘upstairs’ because he ‘wanted to look like mommy’. awwww…..okay, that’s kinda cute!
But I can only say that because I checked the bathroom over and he actually put the lid securely back on and there was no mess at all. Luckily he chose the clear coat though! And for those wonderfully conscience mommies who are wondering why my 3 year old has access to nail polish, he doesn’t. The cupboard was indeed barricaded with a child proof lock, lol which is no match for my guy, he’s got them figured out!
