Partnering up with Ethel Gloves couldn’t have come at a better time. My old gloves for the garden had large holes and had seen way better days. I not only wanted a new pair, but needed something new that could protect my hands and look a whole lot better.

FASHION: These are not your husband’s workgloves. These are made for women! They come in an array of stylish colours and designs that make it hard to choose just one. I really loved the soft pink breast cancer awareness gloves (bamboo pink) from the Plant for the Cure collection, but in the end the allure of the funky and bright Expression Glove (pictured right) took hold and I picked them.
FUNCTION: Ethel Gloves are made from a breathable stretch fabric that feels like a second skin, they are so comfortable. I often found with my old gloves that I had to keep taking them off to do other things, but these fit perfectly and I could do anything with them on. I’ve test-drove these a few times now, even on a super hot day and my hands didn’t get sweaty in them at all.
The best part about Ethel Gloves is that they are machine washable. They were so cute I almost felt bad about getting them dirty until I realized I could just pop them in the wash. Not only will this keep your gloves looking great, but performing great too. So often my old gloves would stiffen up after drying with wet or damp soil on them, leaving them feeling crunchy and uncomfortable for the next use. Summer had finally arrived and our gardens needed some serious TLC, plus, we were saying bye-bye to the backyard garden so we can prepare for a new fence. This meant some serious landscaping as we pulled out weeds up to my knees and hauled out bushes and shrubs. The extended cuff was long enough that stray debris didn’t fall down in them and even protected my watch as well. The heavy material on the palm protected my hands from thorns and my hands and fingernails even stayed clean.
My boys were pretty lucky too because not only did Ethel Gloves give me a pair to try out, but they gave my little helpers a pair to protect their little hands while diggin’ in the dirt with Mommy, helping me pull weeds or ‘mow the lawn’ lol. The kid gloves come in two colours and are super cute! The boys are always trying to steal our gloves and were ecstatic to find out they had a pair to fit them. They call them their ‘work gloves’ and love to wear them!
