Recently I had the opportunity to test drive the new Delta Pilar Pull-Down kitchen faucet with the innovative Touch Technology. Sounds pretty fancy schmancy doesn’t it? Well it is, and I still can’t believe it’s in my home!
But not only is it fancy, it functional and practical too, perfect for the average family household! You know the kind of house that runs a muck with kids, but you don’t want it to look that way? The Pilar is Perfect!
You’re sure to fall in love with just one touch. The intuitive tap technology enables you to turn the faucet on and off with just a touch — anywhere on the faucet’s body or handle. It’s also cleaner – no need to touch handles when hands are dirty. The potential for cross-contamination is also reduced.
Touch2O® Technology can also help you conserve water. As you prepare food or wash up in the sink, just tap the Touch2O® faucet to keep water from running when you don’t need it. Then just touch it again to start the water flowing again.
But do we love it????
I’ll be honest, it takes some getting used to, this is a totally new concept for the kitchen! The first week was a little frustrating while we turned it off when we weren’t expecting to etc. but once we got the hang of it, we LOVED it!
I love the high arc of the faucet itself, we have been boiling a lot of corn here in Canada over the last few weeks and a large pot easily fits underneath to collect water. And now you have your hands filled with a super heavy pot of water and do you leave the water running? no way, just use your elbow to tap the spout and a way you go. Water’s off and you didn’t have to waste water or try to hold the pot with one hand! Easy and efficient!
I also love the soap dispenser built right into the sink, no more messy bottle of detergent on the counter or hiding it under the sink only to constantly bring it out over and over again. One pump and my sink or sponge is filled with sudsy soap! I wish I had this years ago!
The pull-down spout makes cleaning the sink easy and it’s great to pull closer to the soapy kid hands that can’t quite reach the water.
Bottom Line- From one busy mom to another, I love it! Its innovative touch technology allows you to turn your faucet on and off with a light tap anywhere on the spout or handle which is great for minimizing cross-contamination when cooking, washing kid’s messy hands and filling those heavy pots – plus it’s very stylish!
