OUR THOUGHTS ON WORDGIRL
I think this show is targeted at kids between the ages of 5-8 and with Big Brother being my oldest at 4 it did sit just above his level. Did that stop him from enjoying it??? No way! He loved WordGirl and Huggy Face! There are 8 individual episodes to watch and we watched one or two at a time. He often asked for WordGirl as his choice of before bed movies.
For me, it was kind of boring, but it’s not made for me is it?! lol What I do love about WordGirl is that she’s a female crime fighting superhero! Girl Power! I can appreciate that, even in a house full of boys!
I also love that it’s an educational show, there are featured words in each episode to teach children the meaning of them.
And lastly, I really love a holiday movie and this is one of those rare Halloween specials you can put on and not worry at all about scaring the pants of your kids!
I received a complimentary copy of WordGirl Tricks and Treats for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was given and all opinions expressed are my own.
