I’ll be honest I’ve never been one to dress up my dog, she is a huge labrador retriever! But when I was contacted to see if Riley wouldn’t mind trying on a fun costume this Halloween, how could I say no! Of course, we’ll let our baby girl join in the Halloween fun!
Boy was I surprised when I opened the mail to find a pretty pink Princess costume for Riley! With three boys in the house, I never thought I would ever get to dress up someone as a Princess!!!
WHAT: Hundreds of people and their pets are expected to visit Newport, Jersey City Town Square on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 12pm, for the Fifth Annual Canis Minor Halloween Pet Parade.
The Halloween Pet Parade will boast lots of fun games, free products and gift certificates. Canis Minor will distribute goodie bags for dogs, cats, and their owners as well as provide free snacks and refreshments throughout the event. Newport’s well-known Mexican restaurant, Boca Grande, will also be providing appetizers for this “howling” good time!
Liberty Humane Society will be on-site with a mobile animal shelter for pet adoptions.

I would so love to take Riley to a Pet Parade! I bet it’s the cutest thing ever! If you are in the New Port, New Jersey area (a short ride from Manhatten) be sure to include the parade into Halloween festivities, and check out Canis Minor for great pet costumes, quality pet products, natural holistic pet food. They also offer grooming, day car and boarding.
