Some people say that in Canada, there are only two seasons- Ice Hockey and Road Hockey!! What can I say? We like our Hockey! lol My boys were holding their hockey sticks before they could walk, it just made them better goalies!
You guys are in for a real treat because I’ve teamed up with HOCKEY SHOT this holiday season to bring to you the best in hockey gear gift giving this season!
Check out these Pucks and Balls I got to try out:
Smart Hockey Training Balls
You can see the baby boys out on the road with our red one in the photo above, but make no mistake, the real testing was done by Mommy and Daddy! But I do love that the boys call this ‘Mommy’s hockey ball’
This ball has some weight to it and it just a little lighter than a hockey puck, but it rolls nicely out on the street and doesn’t have much bounce. It’s nice and small and perfect for road hockey during the summer or practicing off ice.
Lit Biscuit Light up Hockey Puck
Okay this is the perfect stocking stuffer for hockey fans!!!! it is sooo much fun! It looks and feels just like a regular puck on the outside but the whole inside glows! Ours is blue and it looks awesome, the kids (and big kids) really freaked out with how cool this looked in the dark! It operates with batteries and you just need a coin to turn it on and off with the simple screw mechanism. It is intended for pond hockey (backyard rink?) as it shouldn’t be slammed against the boards, but I think you could get away with using it on the road after a nice snow hits as long as you aren’t nailing it off the curbs. Don’t worry about passing it around though, it has withstood rigorous slap-shot testing and is expected to last years if used as intended.
The Green Biscuit
check out this great video to see it in action, it’s great!
Professional Shooting Pad
This is such a great training aid for your hockey player in the family!
This pad is the largest Hockey Shot shooting pad and measures 30”x60”x3/16” so it’s a really decent size for practicing on! It has a slick smooth surface and simulates the feel of real ice. You can really save the wear and tear of your expensive stick when practicing off ice shooting and stick handling with this. I love that it has a handle for easy carrying. It’s the perfect size for adults and if your kids are serious about hockey it’s a good idea to get a big one that they can transition with so you aren’t buying a new one in a few years time.
