This is an amazing pan! I could tell right away that this is like no other pan I have ever used! This is Professional weight, cast aluminum!! It is heavy and sturdy and has a fantastic non stick coating for easy clean up and release from the pan which is vital for this kind of cake, you really want it to come out perfectly to showcase the beautiful design!
I would love to tell you that the gorgeous looking cake above was my own creation, but alas, it is not. I did make a cake and wanted to share it with you for the review, but I had trouble in the kitchen! lol I decided to take the box cake to the next level by adding nuts and chocolate chips but I did not coat the chips in flour like you should due to time and baking with the cookie monsters who were inhaling all the chocolate chips! Well, in the end the cake was delish but some of the chips fell to the bottom and when it came time to flip the pan over, the melted chips wouldn’t allow a section to release and it wrecked the pretty design. Lesson learned, flour the chips or omit them if using a special pan like this one!
Even with the cake sticking, the clean up was a breeze! Even just running water over the pan lifted the stuck on cake! Me Likey!!
