You used to hear it all the time before you had kids, then you made your own little mini me’s and found out it was true. That no matter what you buy the little ones, they love to play with the box!
I thought this was likely a stage for infants only, the box and tissue paper are just so fascinating that they don’t care about the toy, but as my boys grew the novelty of a box never wore off. Boys love to play in boxes! Big ones are awesome for making houses and crawling into, small ones are perfect for carrying around with the beloved hot wheels cars inside….boxes are fun!
Check out this well loved box that came from a present at Christmas:
They sat inside, outside and around the box, poked it full of holes with some drumsticks, and even coloured all over it! The kept going back to the box again and again until we finally cleaned up the house and brought it to the garage. Definitely got our money’s worth out of that box 😉
Next year maybe we can just ask Santa for some brand new boxes! lol
This is so true and I remember my 3 brothers pretending a big box was a car or truck or barn and I’ve seen it happen over and over which is really funny.
