Staring out the window it is all sun and blue skies ahead, not a white cloud up there – that’s because all the white is down on the ground! While the sunny skies look inviting and try to tempt me out of my winter cave, I know their deceitful ways, their trickery, and I won’t be lured out into the cold just yet!
Oh I know, I know, Canadians are supposed to be tough right? and we are, but after months of cold weather, come March, all we really want to do is escape!
Spring is probably my least favourite season actually, yes, even winter wins over the mud and muck of spring in Ontario. That might just be because I have three boys who are attracted to mud puddles like magnets and come in soaking wet and covered in mud. well, we are hoping all that brown on their snow pants is mud…..another reason for not liking spring, the dreaded yard after the dog has been out there alone all winter long. yeah, I went there, I know, it’s gross! Needless to say my washing machine runs overtime during the spring months. sigh…….
It’s no wonder really, that I am reading about many of you heading off to Florida with the kids for a little excursion, but honestly, after a long winter stuck inside most of the time with the boys, what Mama needs is a little Club Med All Inclusive Resort, if ya know what I mean! I need warm blue skies, turquoise water, white sand, pretty toes, cocktail umbrellas, the smell of sunscreen, strappy sandals and fruity drinks by the plenty! (sans kids of course!)
ahhhhhh……..I’m dreaming….don’t wake me….
