We kicked off our Christmas celebration in a big way this year with a trip to Toronto to see Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy at the Rogers Centre! We were at the opening night performance on December 21st and had a blast catching up with a few of our favourite Disney characters like Lightning McQueen, Mater, Arielle, Tink and Woody!
I think we were most excited to see the Cars crew, unfortunatly the scene was short and during that time a couple was standing in front of us having a mix up with their seats (I cannot believe how many people arrive late for these shows! It’s so distracting!) By the time they moved out of the way and on to where they should be the Cars performance was over. So sad. But we did see a bit of the action when they first came out.
Up next, came Arielle and the enchanting undersea kingdom. The music was really fun for this one but we do meet the scary Ursula of course! The boys got a kick out of Arielle’s crazy side kick Sebastian!
Next stop, Pixie Hollow! Queen Clarion makes a spectacular appearance floating in the air as she descends to welcome everyone’s favourite fairy Tinkerbell to the group! Tink also takes flight to the awe of the audience and the sparkles are a special touch too!
The clubhouse gang Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy make regular appearances between sets!
After a quick break, we return to Toy Story. I was probably least excited to see this set, but as it turned out, it was my favourite by far! I just loved it! My two favourite scenes of the whole show happen in this performance. The first was the toy soldiers, those little green guys put on a fabulous show! Funny and great skating too! And if you’ve seen Toy Story 3 you’ll already be a fan of the hilarious Barbie and Ken story line! Disney on Ice does not disappoint and they’ve put together the a super fun set featuring Ken trying on all his clothes for Barbie! Just watching Ken walk made me laugh out loud! It was great!
There’s still time to catch Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy at the Rogers Centre, the show is on until December 30th. If you miss your chance to see this one, don’t worry, Disney on Ice will be back to the Rogers Centre in March when they present Rockin’ Ever After!

Looks like lots of fun! I hadn’t thought about taking my boys for this but I will definitely consider it for another year. Thanks for sharing.

What a magical show! I haven’t been to an ice show since I was a kid! Lots of great memories! I’ll have to look into for my kids!
This show looks amazing! Our toddler would love it – she knows all (well, most) of those stories and characters. Probably something we’ll check out next year when our little guy can hang with grandparents for the night! 🙂
Thank you for sharing your photos since I probably will never get to go. It looks like lots of fun!
