Bringing Home Baby ~ #ILoveSwaddlers Twitter Party Wed June 26th 8-9pm est

With the world’s most popular baby due any day now, people are buzzing with anticipation on having a new royal baby to ohhhh and awwwww over. And while our baby boys didn’t arrive with nearly as much fanfare, we were just as excited as Princess Kate and Prince William are and we gave all of our boys the royal treatment with Pampers Swaddlers. 

I remember those last days of pregnancy fondly, I savoured every last kick and bump, knowing that soon my baby boy would be here at last! We had waited a very long time for this dream to be realized. The crib was set up, the nursery painted, and my hospital bag lay half packed in the spare room when my water broke in the middle of the night. I wandered around gathering the last of the items for my hospital bag and had Hubs take my final belly shot, but that’s all the time we had, for things progressed so quickly we soon found out there would be no time to get to the hospital. On a call to the midwife, she told us not to move and she raced to us. Shortly, after she arrived, my beautiful baby a made his appearance and my world was changed forever! 

So there was no ‘Bringing Home’ baby story for us! lol We went on to have all three of our boys at home, some planned, some not. Some with assistance, some alone. But we still had all those same new parent feelings of love and anxiousness. For us, instead of worrying about leaving the hospital and life at home, we panicked when the midwife said good-bye and headed out the door! lol Now what???

Life with a newborn has a learning curve whether it’s your first or fourth! One thing that never changed for us was using Pampers Swaddlers. I still remember those adorable tiny diapers, they are so soft yet secure the nastiest of business! lol I still have one tucked away a drawer so I can always remember how tiny my boys were, they grow so fast!
