Textured finishes are all the craze this Summer and Nicole by OPI’s new Gumdrop collection is pretty sweet with a sugar like coating! There are 8 new colours in the collection, some of them I am absolutely in love with like the black and silver A-Nise Treat, a deep My Cherry Amour or the shimmery Blue-Berry Sweet and others just aren’t for me (Lemon Lolly, I Lilac Gumdrop). Unfortunatly, you just don’t get to pick the colours that suit you to try out for review, so I will be on the hunt for some sweet treats in the nail polish aisle soon!

Textured finishes are meant to worn without a top coat to really show off that rough matte surface. Especially, for this collection because the texture truly mimics the sugar coated surface of a real gumdrop. Don’t be afraid to experiment though, a glossy top coat tends to really draw out the sparkle in textured finishes and should leave some of these darker colours looking sticky sweet with a ‘wet-look surface.

The more I see these the more I like them. THe yellow is my favourite, but I like the purple as well.
