Because the entire main floor of our house consists of almost no carpeting, I am long term BFF’s with my swiffer. It’s a family love really, because the boys love nothing more than to drive that bad boy around the house frightening dust bunnies that were cowering in corners and under couches. But there is a whole new Swiffer in town, all shiny and new and with the power of steam!
The Swiffer BISSELL® SteamBoost™ is a steam mop that deeply penetrates dirt and helps remove messes mops can leave behind. Fill it with water, attach a Steam Pad and plug it in. No other cleaning solutions are needed. The special Steam Pads have a steam-activated, dirt-dissolving cleaning solution that pulls dirt from surfaces and locks it away. SteamBoost™ is light, easy to use and safe on tile, finished wood and laminate floors. (Do not use on waxed or unfinished wood floors.)
Pop a steam pad on, similar to other swiffer products like the WetJet, fill with water, plug it in and you are good to go! It heats up incredible fast, 30 seconds tops and is ready for action. You can actually hear and see the steam coming out of the sides!
Pros: This steam pads give off a nice scent while cleaning and I found the Swiffer BISSELL SteamBoost to do a really good job on floor messes. Especially sticky little spots on my kitchen floor. Normally, I would have to go over one of these spots again and again trying to lift it or get down and scrape at it. With the SteamBoost, I just place the mop on top of the mess and activate the steam. The icky spot lifts off right away!
Cons: Obviously having to buy the replacement pads are a big con. They aren’t the best environmentally and the cost factor alone can be a hassle. I prefer to use products without the waste, but the mop only works with these pads. Also, I found being tied to the wall a little inconvenient, but the cord is quite long.
The Swiffer BISSELL® SteamBoost did a great job on my laminate floors and was actually really fun to use, so that right there is awesome! Leave it to Swiffer to make cleaning fun!

The Kitchen! Its the hot spot in our house and I’m mopping it daily with the swiffer wet jet and weekly with the good ‘ole fashion bee mop & lysol. I can’t seem to keep the floor spot free, I guess that’s what happens with a light colour floor, you see everything!
