I had my eye on the movie Epic since we first started seeing the trailers appear on tv, it looked amazing and I couldn’t wait to share it with my kiddos! On August 20th, Epic was released on Blu-ray and DVD and we snuggled in for some cuddle time and a movie with the whole family, including my 20 year old nephew!
Movie Synopsis:
Epic is a 3D CG action-adventure comedy that reveals a hidden world unlike any other. From the creators of Ice Age and Rio, Epic tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good and the forces of evil. When a teen age girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world…and ours.

Our Thoughts:
The whole family enjoyed this movie, including the 20 year old who was pretty sure he wouldn’t! lol We loved the magic, mystery and action of the leafmen and the funny characters too. Some of the fighting scenes and bad guys, reminded me of a child version of a Lord of the Rings type movie. Very exciting and intense but not too scary or over the top!
