Philadelphia Cheesecake of the Year Contest!

Few can resist the creamy richness of a good cheesecake, and I am not one of them! I look for any excuse to make one for guests and this year I spied the most wonderful combination of cake and cheesecake I had ever laid eyes on! I was determined to make it mine, and I did! In February, I made my very own birthday cake because I couldn’t resist the Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake Cake and wasn’t sure Hubs was up for the task! lol No matter, because I was definitely up for it and was super excited to give it a try. I mean seriously people, this is hazelnut swirl CHEESECAKE sandwiched right inside chocolate cake with a thick layer of cream cheese icing!! It doesn’t get better than this!

Do You Have Mad Cheesecake Making Skillz???

The Real Women of Kraft Philadelphia are searching for the Philadelphia Cheesecake of the Year!! Starting June 2, 2014 bakers from across the country (including you!) will be able to submit their best cheesecake recipe and image for a chance to become a national sensation and receive $5000!! Pretty ‘sweet’ prize right??

o   The first 250 eligible entrants receive a FREE brick of Philadelphia Cream Cheese

o   5 Finalists will be flown round-trip to Toronto for the Cheesecake of the Year bake off at the Kraft Kitchens

o   1 grand prize winner will be selected from the finalists to receive $5000, the title of 2014 Cheesecake of the Year and will be featured in a national print campaign.

Got your thinking caps on now? Come up with your best, most loved, creative, delicious, mouth-watering cheesecake recipe and then switch to your chef’s hat and start baking!! Don’t forget to take a few gorgeous shots of your creation so everyone can see how amazing it was!

To enter, submit your fabulous cheesecake recipe – made with Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese of course, and photo to the contest page before Monday June 16, 2014 at 6pm EST. All entries will be judged by a panel of Kraft judges based on a select criteria, full contest details, rules, and terms and conditions are available online.

  2. The prize is RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME. I rarely make cheesecake, the one time I did, I heated it up in the mocirovwave. UM..> STUPID! It melted everywhere.

  4. I love me some cheesecake, but alas I would mess it up hugely! However that does not mean I can’t eat a mean cheesecake and that Hazelnut cheesecake cake thing is looking so good. Where’s that recipe????

  6. I love cheesecake, but I don’t actually make it very often. In fact, I was given a springform pan a few years ago for Christmas and I think (gasp!) that I’ve never made cheesecake in it yet. So I think I will just print this recipe and go try it. (Since I happen to have extra cream cheese right now.) Thanks for sharing!
