My oldest son started building with brick sets when he was pretty young, today at age 8, we consider him a master builder! Okay, I might be a bit biased being his mom and all, but I’m telling you this kid can build! He is so good at following the instructions (better than me that’s for sure) and he can snap together a set in record time. There are times he decides to use his imagination and create his own sets and there are times when he loves to create the themed sets and dive into those worlds. These days, he’s all about KRE-O Transformers: Age of Extinction!
This is one happy kid right here! Prior to this moment, I had one sad boy on my hands who was declaring boredom on a PA Day and waiting for his Dad to arrive home from a three week business trip to France. He needed something to special to help him pass the time and I had just the trick! Moms always have a little something up our sleeves don’t we?
Kids can be creative and re-imagine iconic scenes from Transformers: Age of Extinction with fun KRE-O building sets, like the Galvatron Factory Battle, Grimlock Street Attack, Lockdown Air Raid, and Optimus Prime Dino Hauler. Page by page, my son followed the instructions to create all the pieces, including the super cool dinos! It didn’t take long for his little brothers to find out what was going on and they jumped right into the mix to play too! My boys haven’t seen the new Age of Extinction movie, because I think it’s a little too old for them, but that didn’t stop them from loving this set all on it’s own. They were able to dive right in with their own ideas, voices and characters!
Kre-O sets always seem to go above and beyond, and these sets did not disappoint! The new ‘Dino Force Technology’ is super cool using magnets that can pick guys right up by their helmets or back!
As a mom, I love that Kre-O sets are compatible with LEGO sets. We have a few different sets of each and the boys love them all. They keep their bricks in one big bin and create large pieces with all of them!
Now that Daddy’s home from France, they have a little project to work together on, and Dad loves Transformers even more than they do!
