Tis the season to give back, what better time to help out someone else than the holidays, and there’s so many ways you can do it! We dropped off our toy drive donation today and have our food bank donations waiting to head out the door, but our favourite way to give this holiday is getting involved with #TreatsForToys!
For the second year in a row Kellogg’s Rice Krispies is partnering with The Salvation Army for the #TreatsforToys program and we were happy to take part again this year!
Taking Part is Easy as Snap! Post! Tweet!
The Kellogg’s Rice Krispies #TreatsforToys program helps bring a smile to children in need by encouraging Canadians to make a toy shaped Rice Krispies treat and share a picture of it on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the #TreatsforToys hashtag. For every image uploaded from now until December 24th, 2014, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies will donate $20 to The Salvation Army to buy a toy for a child in need during the festive season.
Last year we made a car and transport truck toy, this year my oldest asked to make his favourite toy ever, his Creeper Minecraft stuffie! We dyed our rice krispie treats green and went ahead and pixelated him! He turned out pretty great!

I applaud both Kellogg’s Rice Krispies for their #TreatsforToys programme and all the parents and children who make these marvellous items for the programme.
That Minecraft robot looks great and I agree. It is very important to give back this time of year especially.
How fun! I love that you got to spend time doing this together, but then also get to give back – so important to teach our kids about the importance of giving.
What a fun, yummy and simple way to give back! Love it! I wonder if my Mom still has the teddy-bear shaped Rice Krispie mold we used when I was a kid…
So cute! My son would love it!
This is awesome, great job! Gotta love when a favorite brand combines fun with charitable giving.
