So apparently February is the new spring? Yesterday was over 10 degrees and sunny outside so our backyard is a swamp with melting snow. I’ve given the puppy a bath about 5 times so far in the last 24 hours, shoot me! I can’t handle spring, but I know winter will be back in a couple days and I’ll be shivering in the ice and snow once again. That’s just life in Canada right Canucks? We were raised to complain about the weather! lol
One thing that makes my mind race right past spring and straight into summer is a fruit smoothie packed full of berries! Yum! Because I’m terrible for skipping breakfast and don’t get in nearly enough nutrients during the day, a protein shake is a quick fix for me to catch up. Plus, it just tastes really good!
Premier Protein Vanilla shakes are now available at Costco throughout Canada until April 3rd. Premier Protein is a line of bars, shakes and whey powder packed with the energy you need to get through your day. They taste pretty good on their own, but they make an excellent base for your favourite custom shakes as well!
Mixed Berry Protein Shake

1 cup frozen mixed berries
splash of orange juice

Shakes and smoothies are great for the morning, but I found that they are perfect for that mid to late afternoon crash as well. I always get sleepy and sluggish around 3pm and having a shake really helps hold me off snacking before dinner time and pulls me through the after school/cooking dinner rush.
I love the 18 count box of Premier Protein Vanilla shakes because having a prepared shake is so convenient to grab and go. They were really easy to find on our trip to Costco, just look for the large display. Be sure to stop in before April 3rd to pick up yours!
Sounds yummy and sometimes convenience works best!
I’d definitely enjoy this protein shake!
I love my smoothies, you can throw anything in you want blend it up and drink, great way to get your extra veggies!!
spinach makes a fun colour!
It’s always good to have these handy for a quick pick-me-up. 🙂
Great for travelling too!
