The Harlem Globetrotters are almost half way through their Canadian tour and are having a blast celebrating their 90th anniversary! Recently, my crew met up with them to learn a few tricks and catch a fun filled game!
The show was packed with dance worthy beats that had my boys bopping in their seats and high flying action on the court – sometimes literally!
The Globetrotters antics were hilarious and had the whole family laughing throughout the show! If you are sitting close enough you might even get to head out onto the court to try your aim on net for a prize! All of us loved seeing the big dunks!
Globie and his big bro Big G were fun to see as well!
Magic Pass
“Join Globetrotter Stars On Court With Magic Pass, The Exclusive Pre-Game Event”
Fans who want the ultimate chance to meet a few of the players should consider buying the Magic Pass. It’s a 30 minute pre game event for $20 a ticket. Be aware that everyone attending needs their own ticket so even if you just want your kid to go out and take part, you’ll still need to purchase a ticket for yourself to be allowed entry with them. For our family of 5, that’s an additional $100 on top of the price of the game tickets, so it’s a significant cost. If you have older kids, I recommend just buying them a pass and waiting for them at the exit. There was plenty of security inside and you can meet up with them as soon as their done. It will save you a few bucks.
The Magic Pass event is a set up of about 6 stations that you will rotate at to try your luck at shooting baskets, dribbling or testing how high you can jump. I found that we were a bit rushed through, the boys only got to try once and then wait in line for the next spot. Some of the stations are duplicates, such as shooting baskets at each end. The fun part was learning tricks from the Globetrotters themselves. There were two of the team members ready to spin the ball and pass it over to your finger, the boys loved this and my oldest exclaimed “I’m never washing this hand again” after he did it! He was pretty proud! Not all team members were in attendance, I believe we met about 4 of them and the atmosphere seemed a little subdued compared to their big personalies on court. But, the boys loved the experience to get on court and discover a bit more about the sport and see up close just how big these players are!
The Harlem Globetrotters will all sign autographs for a set period of time after the game , but it’s a bit of a free for all and the area can get very crowded. Because we were able to grab a few autographs at the Magic Pass event, we were able to get everyone before we left. The boys are pretty excited about their signed ball!
Seeing the Harlem Globetrotters in action is really amazing, and we had a blast! I highly recommend catching the game when they come to your city!

Disclosure: we received complimentary tickets and passes, all opinions belong to mom vs the boys.
I’m pretty sure they were here last fall, but we didn’t make it to see them.
This was a first for us too, it was really fun!
I’ve only seen the Harlem Globetrotters once and that was in Bonn, Germany. It was brilliant entertainment and I loved every minute of it. Wow, Stretch can practically touch the sky! He won’t have to jump high to get the ball in the net 🙂
wow Germany!! And YES, holy cow these guys are tall!
This would have been such a great show for my boys to see. It looks like you all had a great time. I love that you got to spin the ball on your finger!
I wasn’t sure I would be able to with fingernails lol
I saw them once when I was a kid and I’ve never forgotten it! What fun for your boys!
Great pics! What a blast!
Thanks Victoria, it was a fun time!
Never seen them but I have heard that they put on a great show. Looks like it was a fun time.
