Frozen Iced Tea to Beat the Heat

This Frozen Iced Tea recipe post was sponsored by Nestlé. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

Do your kids ever give you those puppy dog eyes when you sit down with an “adult drink”? Look, I totally get it, cocktails look pretty fun and tasty, especially those daiquiris! My boys are absolute suckers for citrus so when they recently walked by me on the deck and saw that I had slices of lemon and lime in my glass they immediately wanted a taste of my Nestlé Iced Tea Sangria. Since this “mommy juice” was for adult lips only, I decided to create a frozen Iced tea recipe for their own fun summer treat to cool off with now that the weather is warming up.

The kids loved this one so much that we now keep a tray of frozen iced tea in the freezer just in case we feel like cool treat. With the ice tea cubes already made, this drink takes literally seconds to blend up! Iced tea is a refreshing alternative to pop (soda for my friends south of the border?) and Nestea even has 29% less calories than the bubbly stuff. It also has no artificial sweeteners making it a nice treat to cool off with during the summer season.

But who says Frozen Iced Tea is just for kids?? Certainly not me!

  17. Elizabeth Matthiesen says

A drink that I love during hot summers is refreshing lemonade with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, so very yummy. If it wasn’t for the calories I’d drink this constantly in the summer. Better not though so I’ll stick with my coffee. 🙂

  18. Oh I’m going to have to try this – both my son and husband love iced-tea!

  19. Could use some refreshing tea right about now

  20. I have never had frozen ice tea. I have to give this a try on the last weekend of summer. I can’t believe it’s almost over.

  23. Elizabeth Matthiesen says

Unfortunately we’re hovering at 14 C with the possibility of a yet another thunderstorm later on. It certainly looks very drab outside so no frozen iced tea for me today – hot coffee instead. 🙂

  24. Yum! Looks so good and refreshing!

  25. kathy downey says

Nothing like a refreshing ice tea on a hot day!
