This Lemon Garlic Iced Tea Chicken recipe was sponsored by Nestlé. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
If you are anything like us, your barbecue is still getting lots of use. We use our grill all year round and never feel like it’s time to close the lid on it just because summer has ended. There’s nothing like a juicy steak or a tangy chicken off the grill to remind you of the warmer, lazy days of summer.
So go ahead and #StirThingsUp a bit with this Lemon Garlic Iced Tea Chicken recipe, and you’ll see that Nestea iced tea is more than just a cool refreshing drink to sip on your front porch, it makes a fine marinade as well!
Lemon Garlic Iced Tea Chicken
Ingredients
½ cup NESTEA Lemon Iced Tea (prepared)
Juice from one lemon
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 small onion chopped
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Directions
Combine all marinade ingredients in a large Ziploc bag and mix well. Add chicken breasts to the bag and coat with the marinade. Make sure the breasts are covered in marinade and refrigerate for 8 hours.
Pre-heat the grill until hot. Remove the breasts from the marinade and place on the hot grill. Cook through until you see no more pink in the middle. About 15 minutes, flip half way through. Cooking times may vary.

Nestea may seem like an odd choice for a marinade but it was really outstanding and got two thumbs up from both the adults and the kids in the family. The chicken had a lovely sweet but tangy taste and we couldn’t wait to make it again. Nestea has reduced its sugar by 25%, and has no artificial sweeteners, plus it is made with real tea leaves!
