Sweet Reads Box is a Canadian subscription box for book lovers and my current addiction! As an avid reader, I love having a new book show up on my doorstep each and every month and as a bonus it comes with all kinds of extra little goodies to go with it!
Each month you’ll receive a bestseller book that has been carefully chosen for the box, plus you’ll also receive a sweet treat, a tasty beverage and a few fun items to go along with the theme of the book!
Curious to know what’s inside April’s Sweet Reads Box?
April Sweet Reads Box Reveal
April’s book selection is The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn. It’s been called the hottest new release thriller of 2018 and ranked No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list, not bad for Finn’s first novel! It’s also already in development as a major motion picture, so I was excited for the chance to get the read in now before hitting the theatres to see it when it comes out on the big screen.
It isn’t paranoia if it’s really happening . . .
Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.
Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, a mother, their teenage son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble—and its shocking secrets are laid bare.
What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems.
Puppy snuggles and a new book, what more could a girl ask for?
But there was more! In past Sweet Reads Box reveals we’ve seen coffee, tea, even hot chocolate, but this month there was something really new and different to tie into the novel – Sangria mix! What a fun surprise! The treat this month was also really unique, from Centre & Main, we received a divine dark chocolate truffle shaped in the form of lips with some intriguing red splatter. So mysterious!
The Little Blue House by Hatley “You had me at Merlot” sticky notes are really cute and the Wine Lives wine glass charms from Fred and Co. are perfect for remember which glass is yours when you have your girlfriends over.
To keep sharp and amuse herself the main character Dr. Anna Fox spends countless hours playing chess online. This pocket chess set was a really fun addition to the box and one I’m excited to take with us when we travel. My boys love challenging each other at chess.
A subscription to Sweet Reads Box is $54.99 (plus shipping and handling). You have the option of purchasing just one month or you can purchase 3 month or 6 month subscriptions and you’ll see a cost-per-month savings.
Be aware that the boxes are selling out almost every month so the best way to ensure you receive a book is to order the 3 or 6 months subscription.
Follow Sweet Reads Box on facebook, where they host fun facebook live interviews with authors from past books. It’s a really fun way to chat with others who’s read the book, as well as ask the author any questions you might have.
