The Dyson Cyclone V10 was provided by Dyson Canada for reviewing purposes, all opinions are my own.
Not one, not two, but ten reasons you’ll love the new Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute!
I didn’t need a new vacuum, I was still madly, deeply in love with my Dyson DC77 even after three years but what I didn’t have was a handheld vacuum so I eagerly accepted the opportunity to test drive the [easyazon_link identifier=”B0798FVV6V” locale=”US” tag=”m0dd5d-20″ localize=”y”]Dyson Cyclone V10[/easyazon_link] and boy was I blown away!
I thought it would be handy to have for cleaning out the van and the front door rug, but the Dyson Cyclone V10 quickly became my go-to vacuum for all kinds of things. When I started preparing this review I was going to share with you 5 reasons you’d love it like I do, but the list kept growing the more and more I used it. So, because I am quite smitten, I’m giving you 10 reasons you’ll love the Dyson Cyclone V10!
10 Reasons You’ll Love the Dyson Cyclone V10
1. It’s Cordless
Say goodbye to getting tangled up in vacuum cords. The Dyson Cyclone V10 is cord free making it super easy to tackle the stairs, furniture, minivan and even those pesky cobwebs at the ceiling!
2. It’s Lightweight
The Dyson Cyclone V10 is a breeze to fly around the house with and dare I say fun? It’s great for seniors who find bulky models hard to maneuver and even the kids. You can easily get around anywhere with the machine including up high.
3. All the Attachments
The Dyson Cyclone V10 comes with an extra 5 attachments in addition to the torque-drive cleaner head.
These include:
- Soft roller cleaner head for hard floor surfaces. The roller is super soft and dusts away as it sucks up the dirt.
- Mini Motorized Tool for small areas and stairs.
- Mini Soft Dusting Brush cleans delicate areas like my window blinds.
- Combination Tool can switch between surfaces.
- Crevice Tool to clean in those hard-to-reach and narrow areas.
5. Doubles as a Handheld
Easily remove the long pole and attach any of the attachments to the machine to give yourself a handheld model to tackle all kinds of areas that full vacuums can’t. It was actually kind of fun to walk around the house with the Dyson Cyclone V10 searching out new ways to use it. Dining room chair cushions, high shelves, blinds, car seats…..
6. It’s Powerful
Forget what you think about cordless vacuums already, they never perform like a corded machine right? Not anymore. I was immediately impressed with the Dyson Cyclone V10 when I booted around the house cleaning up the hard surfaces around our house but I was completely blown away the first time I tried the carpet. The machine really grabs onto the carpet and pulls up the hair and dirt! The specs will tell you that the Dyson Cyclone V10 motor spins at up to 125,000rpm to create 20% more suction than Dyson V8 (which is a great machine!), but what you really just need to know is that it’s a powerhouse that sucks up everything.
7. Long Battery Life
The biggest complaint people have about anything cordless is the battery never lasts and this was my greatest concern as well. Dyson wasn’t about to give you this amazing little vacuum only to have it give up on you halfway through a job! The Dyson Cyclone V10 is housed with 7-cell nickel, cobalt and aluminum batteries that give it up to 60 minutes or cord free usage. The vacuum fully charges in 3.5 hours.
8. Charging/Docking Station
The Dyson Cyclone V10 comes with a system to dock and recharge your unit that is really handy. I actually have an outlet in the back of my broom closet so I have everything tucked away in there and when I’m ready to get rolling so is it. There is room for two of the attachments to store along with it, but the rest you’ll have to tuck away somewhere else.
9. The Cyclones
There are 14 cyclones in there that suck microscopic particles – such as pollen and bacteria – into the bin to expel cleaner air. Dyson machines are certified asthma and allergy friendly™ by the Asthma Society of Canada.
10. The Bin
Speaking of the bin, I’m super impressed with what they’ve done to make the Dyson Cyclone V10’s bin even better than the corded models. The bin is my only complaint about my Dyson DC77, the release buttons open up the bottom as it should to empty the debris, but having a very hairy dog (not to mention my own ability to shed) the hair clings and tangles up top and I have to shove my hand up there to pull it out. It’s not pretty, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that with the Dyson Cyclone V10 has an update feature that pulls all of the dirt and hair down and almost scrapes the inside of the bin so no more touching the gross stuff!
Now I’ve given you a whole list of 10 reasons why you are going to ‘absolutely’ love the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute, but I haven’t even told you THE BEST thing about it!! Ready for it? The Dyson Cyclone is so fun to use the kids actually started fighting over who was going to use it! Seriously! They were fighting over who was going to get to DO the chores, not to get out of it.
“Mooommmm…..it’s my turn to use the new vacuum and he won’t give it to meeeee….”
I’ll take that kind of whining anyday!
