Girls Night Out with Jergens Stars on Ice!

It's been a long long time since I've seen figure skating live (my son's skating carnival doesn't count) and I had forgotten how much better it was to be right in the arena with the stars! It's great to watch it on tv, especially during the Olympics, but nothing really compares to hearing the skates scrape the ice, the lights doing their magic on the ladies sparkly dresses, the music pumping for you to sing along with and seeing the looks on the skater's faces! They are having even more fun than … [Read more...]

{Sponsored Post} Misfits Dog Snacks: Feed the Funny!

Our first child was our chocolate lab! A sweet, soft, brown haired girl who kept me up at night and who both frustrated me and made my heart swell at the same time. Sound familiar? yup, she was our furbaby and those little four legged babies are a lot like human ones! A few weeks in and our baby girl was really coming to life! Racing through the house at a mile a minute, dragging us out for walks and boy could she jump! I've never seen a dog reach so high and she certainly impressed more … [Read more...]

‘Sign the Pledge’ Campaign

When I turned 16, I didn't feel ready to take on the responsibility of driving. I realize I am probably the only teenager that has ever felt that way! lol With an early birthday, none of my friends were preparing for their licenses and I happened to be dating a boy older than I was at the time who took care of the driving. Pretty soon though, all of my friends were driving around town and it was time for me to catch up!  Thanks to the new G1 Practice Test Website, teens can prepare for … [Read more...]

Walmart’s Mom of the Year Award!

In the still darkness of the night, rocking my first born baby boy back to sleep in his nursery, I still clearly remember thinking "Did my mom love me like this?". It honestly didn't seem possible for anyone else in the world to love another person like I loved my son. Of course, I use the word 'clearly' fairly loosely because we all know that in that sleep reduced fog of new motherhood, there are few clear thoughts!  Truth is, that feeling never stops! Almost 8 years later and two more boys … [Read more...]

Make it a Wendy’s Lunch Date #Wendys #NewSaladCollection

My teen years were filled with Wendy's lunch dates with my best friend Tammy, the restaurant just happened to be right across the street from our favourite mall! What can I say, the location was perfect and so was the food! Back in the early days we would carefully build our own salads from the Wendy's salad bar (who else remembers when they had those?? ) and then moved on to their prepackaged garden salads. The tomatoes were always cut a little thick back then and we had a long standing … [Read more...]

Rock Your #covermoment with @Covergirl

Do you love or hate the selfie?? I'm sad to report that I fall in with the two-thirds of women who say they are never happy with their selfie. This week I've been trying hard to get into the groove and rock the selfies along with you, it's hard right? Taking a selfie is a little awkward and even with a fresh face of Covergirl make up, I can look in the mirror and think everything is looking alright, but when I snap that selfie and take a peek, it just doesn't turn out right! lol Here are my … [Read more...]
