Day #3 of the heat wave called for the secret slip and slide to be brought out of it's hiding place in the basement. I bought it on a clearance sale at the end of last summer and was saving it for such a day as this. The boys were super excited about it!!! We had beautiful weather for Daddy's Day! A great opportunity to spend the day outside having some fun. Dad is stuck in the office all day long, so it was good to get us all out in the sun!In the morning we gave Dad his gifts and instead of the boys making him a card, this year the boys made crowns. So it is pretty much daily living around here now, Monday has brought Daddy back to work and life back to normal, except the kids are cranky from going to bed super late last night and the let down from a very busy weekend. I can't believe how little time I've had to blog with you all lately! With the Hubster off of work, all 'free' time is consumed by someone to share it with. The boys and I where away for a few days while we took a little road trip to visit their Grandma and Papa. We decided to make it an early Mother's Day celebration. The boys spent the week painting pots and shells and digging up plants for Grandma's gift and we made her a pretty awesome cake if I do say so myself. I'll post all about our activities next week.
